"The Enemy of Achievement Is Focusing On The Result"

Tonight, I almost completely forgot to write a blog post.

I promised Caleb we would hang out today, and instead he got a day of me catching up on the homework I didn't have done.

We had a makeshift date night because our original plans didn't pan out, and he hung out all night with me while I read my schoolwork.

When I was finally done and said we could just hang out I realized I forgot to write a blog. I looked at him and said oh "oh my gosh I have to write a blog still". I was expecting him to look at me annoyed (which he should be) and say, "oh my gosh I thought we could hang out now".

But you know what he said...?

He gave me a confused look and said, "okay. Then write a blog".

Then when I asked what to write about, he said I should write about this quote he heard from Wes Watson.

So, after a long day and this little great moment, here are my thoughts on this quote.

All week I have been really struggling with how far away I am from achieving my goals.

Like I have said multiple times before, the Universe and God will send you messages that you need to hear, you just have to pay attention enough to catch them.

Today I did need to hear that quote, I also needed a reminder that I have some amazing support in my corner. I have someone who won't let me quit, bitch out, or drop my standards. While we should be that person for ourselves... you're truly set up to win if the people in your circle hold you to it as well.

I will achieve my goals yes, but that is not what matters. What matters is everything I build for myself IN ORDER TO achieve my goals.

I will build the support, mindset, grit, and skills for achievement. That is what matters... the success is just an added value.

Remember as you are working... don't just focus on the results... focus on the work up to the results and the difference you are making.
