"Movement results from a driving force and is opposed by some aspect of resistance." (McCorry, 2009)
You cannot expect to move forward without encountering some form of resistance.
Progress takes energy—often a large amount—to overcome the gradient that's holding you back.
The good news is, once you push through and create that initial gradient, the path begins to generate its own momentum.
Momentum is built by pushing past resistance, carving out the pathway, and then allowing the system to carry itself forward.
Your only job is to keep generating energy and consistently push through the resistance.
