Welcome to my brand.
For starters, I would like to commend you for being interested enough in the randomness of this web page to spend time reading my blog. Odds are you are reading this in a desperate attempt to take your mind off some important tasks you should be doing; so, I'd like to give you some appreciation for throwing your life into further chaos just to read my story.
As with all good stories, I am going to start from the very beginning. Way back to when I was a young girl (for reference I am 22, still young, and this was about 15 years ago but why not be dramatic). Anyway, as I was growing up, I would always ask for one thing every Christmas, birthday, holiday, hell even randomly on a Monday. This one thing was the only gift I ever wanted; it was my own Golden Retriever. Every year I would ask for golden puppy, and I would imagine it happening just like a movie scene. I would wake up Christmas morning to one box in the living room, I would open it and inside would be a little dog with a red bow around its neck.... did this wild fantasy ever proliferate? Absolutely not. We already had two dogs, I was in sports, and I had absolutely no sense of discipline or responsibility to warrant me getting a dog. Congratulations to my parents, you made a good call believe it or not.
So, you are probably wondering why I am telling you all this. Well, it is important because all those pent-up years of wanting a dog led me to get one in college. I made this decision when I was on my own, and figured fuck it.
Enter Little Ann.
I picked her up and was to twitter pated by my choice to get a dog to realize, she was unreasonably small for her age and looked like she was on her last leg.
Despite all of this, I finally got a golden puppy and that is what mattered! After a few months of health problems, many trips to the vet, and a broke college student experience, Ann and I were off to a life of adventures together.
Now, how does this all apply to Little Ann Walking Stick Co? Well, it is her name so that is one thing, but more importantly it is founded on the fact that Little Ann loves sticks. She is the queen of finding the biggest, best stick possible when out on walks and makes sure she shows everyone her prize. I have never seen a dog get so much attention from strangers saying she made their day and how awesome her trophy was. Cars have even stopped on the road to take pictures of this fool.
This joy Ann was creating inspired me to create this company. Ann is a leader she never cares what others think and she's always up for the challenge of the next biggest stick. I have had to force her to leave tree branches on walks due to her not being able to keep up with us and hold the stick. She is the poster child for persistence and she does it all to bring just a little happiness into someone else's life. When Ann was a puppy going through health problems, I was told I might have to put her down. Think about that... a four-month-old puppy barley experiencing life.
She never gave up though, and now she is the happiest doggo I know. Little Ann Walking Stick Co. is about leadership and strength through hard times. I hope my brand brings you inspiration, grit, and just a bit more happiness to each day. That is what Ann gives to me and everyone she meets.
