I think the most important thing we can do in life is make a difference.
If you aren't making a difference than you are just here existing. You are an NPC (non- playable character). You are just the player in the video game that stands there and has one line to say when the real players walk up to you.
You contribute nothing, you take up space.
My goal is to be a player in the game, not an NPC.
So, the way to do this?
Measure your success in impact on others. Not money, or items.
Measure based on a difference you make.
Did you solve a problem? Did you make someone feel loved? Did you help someone get from point A to point B?
If it’s hard to let go... it means it was worth something. You made a difference. You were successful.
You achieved the goal. You made an impact.
Now the ultimate goal...?
Is to never stop.
Keep making a difference. Keep contributing. Keep helping others.
Then, can you truly regret anything in life?
