Matthew 7: 24-27

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

I always feel behind. No matter how hard I plan or how much I accomplish, I am behind. My own goals my own standards, still behind.

But, I can guarantee that even if I take years longer than everyone else my age to have a house, family, and everything else people say you should have, I will have it in the right way.

No, it won't always be perfect. Yes, it will be extremely difficult. Yes, there will be times I want to quit.

But all this happens either way.

The difference? I will have built such a solid foundation from taking my time that I will be able to weather any storm.

My foundation will be on rock. It will hold values, and standards, and I will be the wise man with a house still standing when times are bad.

I may have taken the road less traveled, but I will most certainly not have a shitty house built in sand.

Remember, life is going to move along either way, it is up to you on how you plan to brace for those challenges.

Personally, I plan to have a damn good foundation.

How about you?
